Chay Ya Nepal is implementing the Digital Education in Madhesh Province project in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Culture, Madhesh Province, to improve the quality of education in public schools through the integration of digital technology.
The project is being implemented in 19 public schools across Jaleshwor, Mithila, and Chandrapur Municipalities, where limited access to modern learning tools has traditionally affected teaching and learning outcomes. By equipping classrooms with essential digital infrastructure such as laptops, projectors, smart televisions, and internet connectivity, the project is transforming conventional classrooms into interactive and technology-enabled learning spaces.
Alongside infrastructure support, the project places strong emphasis on the capacity building of teachers. Teachers receive hands-on training to effectively integrate digital tools into their daily teaching practices, enabling more engaging lessons and improved student participation.
Through digital learning resources and interactive teaching methods, students are gaining essential digital skills, strengthening their understanding of subjects, and becoming more confident learners. The project contributes to reducing the digital divide in rural and underserved areas of Madhesh Province while supporting long-term improvements in education quality.
By combining infrastructure development, teacher training, and strong collaboration with government partners, the Digital Education project supports sustainable improvements in the education system and prepares students for future academic and professional opportunities in an increasingly digital world.
